Neusa, Colombia

Here is a pice of my country! Colombia is one of teh richest countries in water resourses, here’s a proof of it! It’s called La represa del Neusa and it’s a cultural patrimony and natural reserve.

I had always wanned to go there since all my friends kept on telling me it was an amazing experience, and indeed it was! It’s really close to Bogota, so we went be car, in my boyfriends car, and borrowed a tent from a friend! But the thing was we never thought  about the rain! We had already set up the tent, and we’re about to eat, when the rain began!! And we realized our tent was a hot weather, no rain resistan tent!!!!! Luckely we had an extra tent, but nothing to hold it up! We even used bricks! And come plastic we found in the woods! And managed to build the tent… hoping it wouldn’t rain again! Then all the wood we had gathered for the bonfire was all wet!!  So some people that were there too gave us some wood! In the end we made the bonfire and drunk some wine it was really nice! And an adventure i will never forget!

Barichara, Colombia

Festival internacional de cine

Helloo.. there’s this really great festival that some friends are organazing that i wanted to tell you guys about. It’s in Barichara, barichara es a small town in satander, its close to bucaramanga, we’re i come from. It’s a really peacefull and beautiful place, but not many people know about it, it’s a shame.  Some friends thought of a great way to show the world barichara , to recognize and preserve cultural patrimony and at the same time to promote cultural development.

This first festival’s theme is “las paredes hablan”, wich consist of proyecting all the cinema proposals that enter de festival trhought the town’s walls.

Bogotá

Bogotá

If you ever pass by Colombia and stay in Bogota i’ll be more than welcome to show you arround!! Just contact me through here! I love showing everybody my country! …I’m actually from Bucaramanga, a small city that’s 8h from Bogota, the capital were i life in order to go to the university, cuz the most important universities are here in the capital… actually it’s really funny how that goes in diferent countries!... in the US i rememeber that parents would tell their children to move out as soon as the finish highschool! But here in Colombia it’s not like that… it’s everyones choise… i rememeber in school we all wanned to graduated to move out of our parents house and be independet! Its was so funny cuz we all we’re rebelds at school…. And there are days that i miss the confort of my parents home! If you life in the capital it’s wierd to go some were else to study since all the good schools are here.

Anyways  seriously if anybody ever wants to como to Colombia all be happy to show you arround and take you to not so comercial places… i don’t like the tipicall comercial places, i think if you really whant to know a city you hace to mix with the people that live there to get the real feeling of the city and not the turist feeling!

Lima, Peru--emo pics!

The last day in Buenos Aires we were so sad to be leaving and to have to go back to our reall life and keep studying, that at the airport we took some emo pictures hahahahha to show our endless sadness! Hahah a little pathetic i know…. Hahaha

Oh but the good thing was that we had spend the night at Lima, Peru to wait for the morning plane so we decided to take a cap downtown and the cab driver was so nice he took us to the most delicious restaurant at the beach. Amazing food!! I highly recomend it! It's called costa verde, located in miraflores. And not only did he take us to the restaurant but waitted for us till we finished eating and the took us to every important place in lima! Like to larcomar, a mall that’s build like inside the mountain and to the historic center.  So we got a city tour at 11pm on a sunday! All while waitting for our plane that would take us back home L so sad!

Buenos Aires part 2

Buenos Aires part 2

Well i’ll continue my story about wonderful Buenos Aires… as i said, we party everyday! One day we went to this club, bahrein that’s at retiro. OMG what an experience! It like this really heavy electronic music! And wen we arrived there were like 20 people only cuz we got there early, oh before i forget early in buenos aires is 2 am! But don’t arrive past 4 cuz they wont let you in, they close doors at 4am.

Anyways, it was really dark when we got there that we didn’t actually see the faces of the people in the boliche(that’s how the y calle clubs in buenos aires) and just danced everybody was high i think.. cuz there were some wierd people there but who cares,  everybody was having a good time… we dicided to go upstairs to the lobbye and take a little break cuz the music was getting to drak… then we started seeing people como out of the club… it was like watchin a parede of freaks!!!!  So funny and scarry at the same time! The weirdest people ever!! Hahaha but oh well we had a good time anyways!
little break from heavy party!

That same day, in the morning right after the party had ended we went home got changed and took of to tigre… this little boat village really pretty with the biggest casino ever!!! It was a 3 story high casino in a tiny village! I swear the casino was bigger than the village, and it also had an amusement park! So cute!

Be carefull to loss your friends! I lost both of them and my celphone in two days! One day we were clubbing at kika and all of a suddent my friend felipe disappeard!!! But thankully he was to drunk to continue partying and went home, the thing was that he had my cellphone and forgott about it and keeped writting to me that he was fine! And another day we were at crobar and my other friend silvia disappeard! And we were supposed to live the party straight to buquebus to go to Montevideo, Uruguay! We look for her but she never appeared adn the thing was that i had left my cellphone in the cap so she was calling me the whole time but it didn’t know! So we went to Montevideo without her! I felt so bad… im so sorry silvia! Hahaha

Felipe with missing Silvia on their way to Montevideo!

Choking news!!!

Another big pasion i have is music! I will go to any concert no matter what! And  friend showed my this shoking vieooooo about the beattles!!! I’m a huge beattles fans thanks to my dad J who played them since i was little… but i just saw the most  shoking video about them!!!! Please watch it and tell me it’s not true!!! I don’t wanna believe it because that would mean that the beattles was a whole shared!!!  I tried looking for some more information about this, and saw some interviews that happend not long ago to Paul Maccartney about it were he obviously denied all!! But it dont’t know what to believe.. the video is so convincing…

Buenos Aires, Argentina

The first thing you have to do when traveling  is find good travel partners… better if they are your friends! Last week was what in Colombia we calle holly week so i had a week off of studying.. yei for me!... so i decide to go visit a friend that recently moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina..and let me tell you what a city!!! I loved it there, and besides i went with my to best friends and favorite travel partners so what could haven posible gone wrong…

There are so many things to do in Buenos Aires… turist wise… you have to visit the obelisco at plaza de la republica, also near that we whent to a club called “severino” if you get there early, you can buy shots 2 for the price of one!... but the shots are really big so… becareful! We also took the turist bus.. but i didnt think it was worth it, and it took too long so we spend a whole day there.. you can do the same thing in a cab! On your way to the hostel from partying! They would be so happy to tell you the story of buenos aires! That way you pay your drive home but you get a one to one turist tur for free!

We had a pretty hectic schedule, we visted from 11am till 9pm, at 9 we went to sleep (cuz people there take naps before going out partying!) till 12am, and then we when out to have a good time till 7am-8am and started our new days sometimes with out even sleeping, but believe me there is enought energy in the air to continue the day!

Walk of shame... morning after partying

If you visit Buenos Aires you must go to puerto madero and see El Puente de la Mujer, de Santiago Calatrava!!! It’s just amazing. And if your in the mood for some carneeee you hvae to go to siga la vaca, in puerto madero also, it like an all you can eat meat place, and the also give you wine included in the all you can eat! We actually arrived there at 7pm and left a little tipsy at 11pm!! I have to go for now.. but i promise i will continue telling you about my argentinian journey! :P

Well let me start be introducing my self, I'm an architect student who loves life! adn for that matter i love to travel!, traveling arround the world is my pasion, i mean if the world is so big and its not going anywere, why not go out and explore it!

You might wonder why all of a sudden i decided to do this, well to be honest i neded something to write about to take mi mind of of university ( i study architectura and it's not that easy, although i love it, sometime it can drive me crazy) and because my most recent journy was a week ago, i just got back from argentina, and it got me thinking how every trip i take it's like a paralel life, where i meet new interesting people and eat new interesting things, party like i don't in my normal life and do things i will not normaly do.  It's a break from real life with awesome new experiences.

The blog is called "long time home" because eventhough i travel a lot and have a lot of families arround the world, i will always come back to my original colombian life, to my long time home.
